BJP-Led NDA and Congress Issue Whip to Their Lok Sabha MPs: On March 20, the BJP-led NDA issued a three-line whip to its Lok Sabha MPs, directing them to be present in the House on Friday for the passage of the Union Budget 2025-26.

ANI quoted the letter issuing the whip, which stated, "All BJP members in Lok Sabha are hereby informed that the guillotining of various Demands for Grants 2025-26 will be taken up for passage in the House on Friday. All members of BJP in Lok Sabha are, therefore, requested to be present in the House throughout the day and support the government's stand."

Guillotine is used when the government needs to fast-track the approval of the Demands for Grants, without debate, due to time constraints disruptions.
The Budget Session 2025 of the Indian Parliament is scheduled to conclude on April 4, 2025.

According to United News of India, Congress also issued a three-line whip to its Lok Sabha MPs, directing them to be present in the House on Friday.

On Thursday, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned without conducting any proceedings as DMK members protested in both Houses, wearing white T-shirts with slogans: #FairDelimitation, Tamil Nadu Will Fight, Tamil Nadu Will Win. Both presiding officers objected to the protest, and after repeated adjournments, the Houses were adjourned for the day.
