Bihar Floor Test News: Nitish Kumar secures Bihar Assembly majority with 129 votes

Bihar Floor Test News: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday successfully obtained a vote of confidence in the state assembly. Just before the confidence vote, the opposition led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) walked out of the house while the Janata Dal (United) leader accused Tejashwi Yadav's party of corruption. Nitish Kumar alleged that "they (Tejashwi Yadav and the party) were minting money."

With the absence of opposition, Nitish Kumar initially demonstrated his majority through a voice vote, however, he insisted on a manual vote as well. In the end, Nitish Kumar secured the confidence vote with 129 votes in favor and none against his government. Nitish Kumar, who recently broke the alliance with the RJD and allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi Yadav's parents — Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi.

He said, "Before this, his father and mother got the chance to work, what happened in Bihar then? Would anybody dare to go out at night at that time? Was there any road? "They were making money."

Furthermore, he announced plans to investigate alleged corruption by RJD leaders. "I respected them, but it pained me when I learned about their malpractices," he said.

Nitish Kumar also assured commitment to his alliance with the BJP. He said he is back where he belongs and will never leave them. Regarding the INDIA alliance, he expressed disappointment in his efforts to bring all parties together and also accused RJD leaders of attempting to take credit for the work of the JD(U).
