A total of 181 polling stations were set up for Jalandhar West by-election 2024.

Jalandhar West by-election 2024: Voting for the West Assembly constituency is being held on Wednesday amidst complete preparations by the district administration and the Election Commission. This is not just a normal election but also a matter of pride for the major parties of Punjab.

According to information, there are a total of 1,71,963 voters in the constituency. These include 89,629 men and 82,326 women. 

A total of 181 polling stations were set up for all of them. 

Likewise, the Government schools, colleges, and other educational institutions were closed in the constituency on the day of election voting.

In the order issued by Jalandhar DC cum Election Officer Himanshu Aggarwal, a holiday was declared on Wednesday, July 10. 

DC Agarwal said that all the employees of the state government, including government offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions, were entitled to special leave.
