Punjab School Winter Timings Change News: In a major development, the school timings for Punjab schools have been changed given the winter season down the lane. Announcing the same, Punjab's Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains took to Twitter and announced that the school timings have been changed.
He tweeted, "As per the instructions of Honorable Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan ji, in view of the health and safety of students and teachers due to dense fog and weather change in some parts of the state, the opening time of all government/aided/recognized and private schools of the state has been changed to 9:30 am-3:30 pm."
He further added that "these orders will be uniformly applicable to all primary/middle/high and senior secondary schools from Monday 04/12/2023 to 23/12/2023."

Likewise, the state has been witnessing cold waves during the morning and evening hours. Notably, the change in school timings is said to be a process which is done every year in view of the change in weather.
It may be noted that the order, given above, has been issued from December 4 till December 23. In the meantime, the Punjab Government would likely announce a winter break.
