Thiruvananthapuram: The family of Flight Lt S Achudev, one of the two IAF pilots killed in the May 23 crash of their Sukhoi-30 fighter jet in Arunachal Pradesh, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a high- level probe into the tragedy. Late Flight Lt Achudev's father Sahadevan VP wrote the letter seeking the probe either by CBI or NIA or RAW or IB to "unfold the mystery and reveal the truth" behind the crash.

Issue of farmers' suicides can't be dealt with overnight: SC
New Delhi: The issue of rising farmers' suicide cannot be dealt with "overnight", the Supreme Court said today while agreeing with the government's request for a year to show effective results of its pro-farmer schemes like Fasal Bima Yojana. "We are of the view that the issue of farmers' suicide cannot be dealt with overnight. It is justified on behalf of the Attorney General to seek time for effective results," a bench of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice D Y Chandrachud said.
Jadhav case: Pak Attorney General to lead delegation in ICJ
Islamabad: Pakistan's Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf will represent the country against India at the International Court of Justice in the case involving Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the ICJ registrar at Peace Palace in The Hague that Ausaf would be the "agent" for Pakistan in the case whereas Foreign Affairs Director General Dr Mohammad Faisal would continue to act as the "co-agent".
