The police found a woman’s chopped body parts, which were being eaten by stray dogs
in Rohtak.
The police said that the body below the knees and above the waist was missing.
The police said preliminary investigation did not rule out sexual
assault before murder. The police have sent the corpse for post-mortem
at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS).

Umed Singh said that they cannot rule out sexual assault though more could be said after post-mortem.
So far, the police have registered a case under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (destroying evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. The police said appropriate sections will be added in the FIR if sexual assault is confirmed in the postmortem.
