Panchkula: Sarvesh Mehtani of Panchkula has topped the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced-2017 and bagged first rank in the All India Rankings.

Panchkula: Sarvesh Mehtani of Panchkula has topped the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced-2017 and bagged first rank in the All India Rankings.

Mehtani, who scored 339 out of 366 marks to land the top position, had secured a relatively low AIR rank of 55 in the JEE Main this year. A product of the Bhavan Vidyalaya in Chandigarh, he hopes to pursue computer science at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B).

When asked Mehtani about his success mantra, he said that proper strategy and hard work helped him to secure the first rank. Mehtani said, “It doesn’t matter that how much time you dedicate for the studies. The important thing is how you plan your studies smartly.”

Gograj Khadda, the child of a mechanic in Rajasthan’s Kabron Ka Baas village secured the 5,033th spot through sheer hard work. Khadda’s father is a mechanic but he didn’t leave any stone unturned to help his son in his studies.
