PM Modi, Amit Shah Honour Shaheed Udham Singh on His Death Anniversary

On the day of the great revolutionary martyr Udham Singh's martyrdom, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored him on Friday, saying that every generation will be inspired by his courageous life narrative.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit quotation on social media X, saying that every generation of the country will be motivated to protect the nation's honor and sovereignty by the life of martyr Udham Singh, who was known for his exceptional bravery and sacrifice. The sun of valor never sets permanently. Just as the sun rises and shines brightly again, so too does a brave man triumph over every adversity with his valor.

On the anniversary of Udham Singh's supreme sacrifice, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said he bows in respect to the eternal martyr. "A symbol of unmatched bravery, Udham Singh Ji terrorized British rule by exacting revenge on his compatriots who were killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in London. Additionally, he was instrumental in lighting the spark of liberation in the hearts of Indians residing overseas through the Ghadar Party," he stated.

"A modest tribute to the great revolutionary and immortal freedom fighter, Shaheed Udham Singh Ji, on the anniversary of his martyrdom," stated Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. His unwavering bravery and the sacrifice he made to free India make up a magnificent period in Indian history. In addition to remembering his sacrifice, the country will always find inspiration in him.
The courageous freedom fighter Udham Singh killed Michael O'Dwyer in retaliation for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He was born in Punjab on December 26, 1899, and on July 31, 1940, he was executed at Pentonville Prison in London as a sacrifice for the liberation of India.
