Operation Mahadev Latest News: General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Northern Command, visited the general area of Dachigam on Wednesday to compliment and felicitate the troops for their resilient action and the swift, successful execution of Operation Mahadev in Lidwas on 28 July 2025, where three hardcore terrorists were neutralized.

The neutralized terrorists were identified as Suleman Shah alias Faisal Jaat, Hamza Afgani, and Jibran Bhai. The security forces recovered two AK-series rifles, one M4 rifle, and a large cache of ammunition and warlike stores from the operation site.
“The mission marks a critical step in restoring security in Kashmir and demonstrates the Indian Army’s commitment to establishing peace and development,” said the Chinar Corps in an update posted on its official X handle yesterday.
On 29 July, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, GOC-in-C Northern Command, and Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GOC 15 Corps, briefed Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on the outcome and significance of Operation Mahadev.
