In view of the rising tensions between India and Pakistan over Pahalgam attack, a news is being circulated on social media that a heated argument between Hindu soldiers of 185 BSF and Sikh troops of 15 Sikh LI (Light Infantry) in the Chinar Corps escalated into an exchange of gunfire, leaving 5 Sikh soldiers dead. What is the truth behind this?
The news reads: "BREAKING: 5 Sikh Soldiers of 15 Sikh LI Killed in Clash with BSF Troops. In a tragic incident, a heated argument between Hindu soldiers of 185 BSF and Sikh troops of 15 Sikh LI (Light Infantry) in the Chinar Corps escalated into an exchange of gunfire, leaving 5 Sikh soldiers (4 from Haryana, 1 from Amritsar). Bodies sent to native villages."

Considering India and Pakistan are almost up against each other in a proxy war, it is being considered as Pakistan's move to spread misinformation and ignite a fight within the country.

In the meantime, the Indian security agencies have been asking the Indians not to fall prey to the victim of misinformation. Cyber Police Kashmir also warned against spreading misinformation. "The Cyber Police Kashmir has cautioned the public against sharing fake or doubtful information on social media, stating that such actions can mislead the general public. Users are advised to exercise caution and refrain from posting unverified content. Violators will face legal action as per the law," it stated.
