Chhattisgarh Civil Society Sends Legal Notice to Navjot Singh Sidhu, Here's Why
If he fails to do so, the notice demands a compensation of Rs 850 crore.
Navjot Singh Sidhu Latest News: The Chhattisgarh Civil Society has issued a legal notice to former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu. In the notice, Sidhu has been asked to submit the documents related to his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu's cancer treatment within seven days.
If he fails to do so, the notice demands a compensation of Rs 850 crore. This follows Sidhu’s recent claim at a press conference regarding his wife’s complete recovery from stage 4 cancer. He stated that she had fully recovered in just 40 days without any medical treatment or medicine, attributing her recovery to an indigenous diet. This statement has drawn significant backlash from the medical community.
Sidhu had claimed that the diet was the key factor in his wife overcoming stage 4 cancer, leading to widespread criticism from cancer experts and doctors across the country. In response to the criticism, Sidhu clarified that his wife had, in fact, undergone surgery, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and targeted therapy before following the diet regimen.
In a video shared on Instagram, Sidhu emphasized his respect for doctors and clarified that his wife followed the diet only after consulting with medical professionals. He also explained that the diet was developed based on Ayurvedic principles and Japanese practices, which emphasize fasting as a key component.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who is a doctor herself, further clarified that the diet chart is meant to serve as an adjunct to medical treatment, not a substitute, and emphasized the importance of seeking medical advice before making any health-related decisions.
