PM Modi Launches HPV Vaccination Campaign, Announces Rs 17,000 Crore Projects in Rajasthan 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign from Ajmer, Rajasthan, alongside inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects worth nearly Rs 17,000 crore.

Addressing a public gathering, the Prime Minister said the vaccination drive marks a major step toward strengthening women’s health. He described the initiative as part of the government’s broader push to improve maternal and adolescent healthcare across the country.

The projects unveiled span key sectors, including roads, power, water supply, health infrastructure and education. According to officials, the investments are expected to boost connectivity, improve civic amenities and generate large-scale employment opportunities. Appointment letters were also distributed to more than 21,000 recruits.

Highlighting infrastructure growth, Modi said enhanced road, rail and air connectivity is positioning Rajasthan as an emerging investment hub. He also reiterated the Centre’s commitment to river-linking initiatives, including the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal and Yamuna–Rajasthan link projects, aimed at benefiting farmers in several districts.
