JAMMU: A Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Jammu has issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists hiding in Pakistan. A senior police officer gave this information on Wednesday. He said that non-bailable warrants have been issued against 23 terrorists who carried out their activities from Pakistan by crossing the border at their residential district of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second time that a special NIA court in Jammu has issued non-bailable warrants on the plea of the police against terrorists hiding in Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Earlier, non-bailable warrants were issued against 13 terrorists.

Kishtwar senior police officer Khalil Poswal said, "36 people from Kishtwar involved in terrorist activities had gone to Pakistan. After this, two FIRs were registered against them.” He said that a special NIA court had issued non-bailable warrants against 13 of them on March 1, while fresh non-bailable warrants were issued against the remaining 23 terrorists on Tuesday.

The officer expressed hope that Pakistan would cooperate in arresting the terrorists and sending them to India. He said that according to the law, different teams have also been formed to identify the properties of terrorists for attachment.
