Earthquake in Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir: In an early morning tremor, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir experienced the effects of two mild earthquakes, causing momentary panic among residents. Fortunately, officials have reported no immediate signs of damage resulting from the seismic activity.

Two separate earthquakes, registering as magnitude 4.5 and 3.7, struck Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, respectively. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) identified the epicenter of both quakes, locating the stronger tremor in Leh district, Ladakh, and the milder one in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir.

At 4.33 am, Ladakh experienced a magnitude 4.5 earthquake, with the epicenter situated in Leh district and the seismic activity recorded five kilometers below the earth's surface. While the quake induced panic among residents in Kargil and Leh districts, local authorities have assured that there are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

On Monday night, a magnitude 3.7 earthquake jolted Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir around 1:10 am. Though of a milder intensity, the tremor added to the region's seismic activity, prompting vigilance among the local populace.

While the dual earthquakes may have momentarily unsettled residents, law enforcement and disaster management agencies are closely monitoring the situation. At present, there are no reports of significant damage or injuries resulting from the seismic events.
