BSF Soldier Suspended for Molesting Woman at Ration Shop in Manipur

IMPHAL: In a disturbing incident, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan has been suspended after allegedly molesting a local woman at a ration shop in the restive state of Manipur. The shocking act was caught on a CCTV camera and widely circulated on social media, sparking outrage among the public.

The incident, which occurred on July 20 in Imphal district, came to light when the video footage of the incident surfaced online. In the video, head constable Satish Prasad can be seen wearing his BSF uniform and holding an INSAS rifle while allegedly making unwanted advances towards the woman.

Upon discovering the video and verifying its authenticity, BSF authorities took swift action against the accused jawan. A senior BSF official confirmed that the accused, Head Constable Satish Prasad, has been immediately suspended pending further investigation. Additionally, a case has been registered against him to ensure a thorough and impartial probe into the matter.

The CCTV footage portrays a distressing scene where the uniformed Jawan persistently tries to inappropriately touch the woman despite her repeated efforts to resist him. The weapon in his possession further adds to the gravity of the offense, and the incident has sparked anger and condemnation from across the country.
