Trump Slams Putin Over Ukraine Attacks, Calls Him "Absolutely CRAZY"

Trump Slams Putin  "Absolutely CRAZY" latest news: In a strongly worded post on Truth Social on Sunday night, former U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at Russian President Vladimir Putin for allegedly escalating the war in Ukraine and targeting civilians in addition to soldiers.

Trump criticized Putin’s actions, calling him “absolutely CRAZY!”

“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!" Trump wrote. "He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into cities in Ukraine for no reason whatsoever.”

The former president warned that Putin’s alleged ambition to seize all of Ukraine could backfire and result in Russia’s own downfall.

“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right. But if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!” he added.

Trump also took aim at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of worsening the situation through his rhetoric.

“Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems. I don’t like it, and it better stop,” Trump said.

In addition to criticizing both Putin and Zelenskyy, Trump blamed current U.S. President Joe Biden for the ongoing war, calling it a result of incompetence by all three leaders.

“This is a war that would never have started if I were president. This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s war — not ‘Trump’s.’ I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires that have been started through gross incompetence and hatred.”

Trump has repeatedly claimed he could bring the war to an end but has so far not succeeded in mediating any resolution. Earlier this year, a meeting between Trump and President Zelenskyy reportedly turned tense after a verbal altercation in which Trump called Zelenskyy “ungrateful,” though he later clarified that he was “grateful” for certain efforts.

Following that, Trump was scheduled for a phone call with President Putin. However, reports stated that Putin kept Trump waiting, an incident that drew media attention.
