Relief to Satyendar Jain, SC Grants 6-Week Interim Bail on Medical Reasons
Next hearing will be held on July 10
NEW-DELHI: In a major relief for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain, the Supreme Court on Friday granted six-week interim bail to him on medical grounds. Earlier, he fell in the bathroom at Tihar jail. After this, the former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH). The Next hearing is scheduled to be held on July 10 in the case. Jain has been granted bail until July 11.
Notably, The Enforcement Directorate (ED) have said that it cannot trust Lok Nayak Hospital's medical reports and a panel of doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) should examine Satyendar Jain.
It is worth mentioning here that Satyendar Jain’s medical reports will be produced before the court on July 10. The court has restrained Jain from interacting with the media while his bail period. It directed him against influencing witnesses, tampering with evidence, or leaving the National Capital on any grounds.
