BJP Ranjana Nachiyar Quits BJP in Protest against Three-Language Policy latest news: Popular actress-turned-politician Ranjana Nachiyar has quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in protest against the three-language policy and the alleged neglect of Tamil Nadu.
Ranjana Nachiyar, who had been with BJP for eight years, released her displeasure in a letter to the party. "As a Tamil woman, I cannot accept the three-language policy. I cannot stand the growing hostility towards Dravidians and the constant neglect of the needs and aspirations of Tamil Nadu," she wrote. Nachiyar reiterated that she had joined the party because of its patriotic sentiments and commitment to nationalism.
Nachiyar explained in her letter why she was opposing the BJP policies of centralization, saying they were eradicating the culture of Tamil Nadu. She berated the party's "narrow outlook" and lamented the neglect of the state. "I was part of the party with nationalism and commitment in mind, but the increasing 'narrow outlook' of the party and Tamil Nadu's neglect have raised a few questions," she wrote.
Emphasizing her anti-three-language policy stance, Ranjana contended that implementing the policy endangers the linguistic and cultural identity of Tamil-speaking individuals. "To me, the prosperity of Tamil Nadu is vital for the security and advancement of the whole nation. Regrettably, the policies of the BJP are not appropriate for Tamil Nadu," she stated.

Nachiyar, being a popular politician as well as an actress, posted her resignation letter on social media, which was met with mass interest. She reaffirmed her dedication to the cause of promoting the rights and culture of Tamil Nadu, even if it comes at the expense of going against her erstwhile party.
