Valley is bursting with love for Sikh community

Kashmir, 25th Feb: As a return favour, the locals in the valley are pouring unabashed love on Sikh community by offering free or discounted services. A unique communal harmony is on the rise in Kashmir.  After the help the Sikh community, led by renowned NGO Khalsa Aid, and Gurdwaras in Mohali extended towards the harrowed Kashmiri students from all over North India, the Kashmiris have shown gratitude and love in return for the community in the valley.

The Kashmiri students all over the country were harassed, and discriminated against, and had poured in to Mohali as they found Punjab to be a safe haven. Now that all the Kashmiri students have been sent home safely, the valley is bursting with love for Sikh community. The Kashmiris are paying back to the Sikh community by offering big discounts and free services. Doctors have offered free consultation and treatment for Sikhs, with some lawyers providing free legal help too.

Advocate Hilal Ahmad Dar from Baramulla has offered to provide free legal help to Sikhs, till said cases are disposed off. People are offering the most precious gift of life, their blood for any requirement of rare blood groups to Sikhs in need openly. Some medical stores are offering even up to 80% off on medicines for Sikh community. Some are providing certain medicines for free also, for a couple of months. Schools and coaching centers are providing free admissions to the Sikh students.

Some shop owners have offered free uniforms and school supplies for Sikh students too. Hotel owners have offered free or heavily discounted accommodation and other tourist services also. Presently, there are around 80,000 Sikhs living in the valley. They are overwhelmed by these gestures by the Muslim brethren. They believe this will deepen the bond between the communities.
