An Indian national who was onboard the flight, speaking to ANI said, " The evacuation happened smoothly thanks to the initiatives of the Government of India. The governments of Israel and Egypt also provided a lot of support to the students. It was a very well-planned evacuation. We are grateful to the officers of the Indian Air Force for evacuating us through a C-17 Globemaster."

Further flights are expected in the coming days as India steps up its efforts to bring home more citizens affected by the conflict.

The evacuation comes amid a ceasefire in the region, initially declared by U.S. President Donald Trump and agreed upon by Israel an hour ago at the time of Publishing this report. However, the Israeli Defense Forces later announced that, in light of a violation of the ceasefire by Iran, Israel would respond forcefully.

Earlier, according to reports by The Wire, Iran had also announced its agreement to the ceasefire. However, Iran's Foreign Minister later posted on X that no such agreement had been made.

As of now, Israel has issued alerts to its citizens regarding incoming missile threats, as tensions in the region remain volatile.
