JHARKHAND: Scripting History, the Senior Instructor of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Asmita Dorjee has conquered Mt.Everest (29,002 feet) on Tuesday. Asmit Dorjee commenced her journey on April 3 and reached the Everest base camp on April 14 following an 8-day trek through the Khumbu region. She reached the top of Everest and hoisted the Indian tricolor and Tata Steel flag.

Notably, Asmita reached Kathmandu from Delhi on April 6. From there they started the arduous journey to Everest on April 14. After reaching the base camp they completed the rotation process. After this, on May 18, she left for Camp-3. On May 22, she started climbing Everest from Camp-4 at around 10 pm and successfully completed her journey at 8:20 am. Last year, Asmita went on the Everest expedition without oxygen supplement but just before 100 meters, she fell unconscious.
