18th Rozgar Mela: PM Modi Hands Over Appointment Letters to Over 61,000 Youth

18th Rozgar Mela: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed appointment letters to over 61,000 newly recruited youth across various government departments and organisations through video conferencing at the 18th Rozgar Mela.

The mela was held simultaneously at 45 locations across the country.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Modi said that Basant Panchami was celebrated a day earlier and described the 18th Rozgar Mela as the beginning of a “Basant Panchami” in the lives of thousands of youth who received appointment letters.

The Prime Minister noted that the day holds special significance in the history of independent India, as it was on this day that Jana Gana Mana was adopted as the National Anthem and Vande Mataram as the National Song.

He termed the distribution of appointment letters as an invitation to nation-building and said it would strengthen the country’s Viksit Bharat mission.

Speaking about India’s growth, PM Modi added that the country currently has nearly two lakh registered startups, providing employment to over 21 lakh youth.
