Hyderabad: Members of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Others, hold protests against atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh

Hyderabad News: Members of Vishva Hindu Parishad, along with other Hindu organisations, on Tuesday held a protest in Kothapet, Hyderabad, against attacks on minorities in Bangladesh.

Shashidhar, VHP's National spokesperson, speaking to news agency ANI, said," Atrocities are being done against Hindus in Bangladesh.”

He stated that the government of India should take strict action for the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh.

The spokesperson also issued a warning, saying, “Bangladesh infiltrators and Rohingyas in large numbers are living in Bhagya Nagar. If the state government doesn't take any action, then VHP will announce an action."

Laxman Bansal, President, North Bengal Region, VHP, speaking to ANI, said," Hindu Jagran Manch & Vishwa Hindu Parishad today protested against the killing of Dipu Chandra Das (in Bangladesh). Why is it that where ever Hindus are in a minority, they are being attacked?... We have urged Bangladesh Visa Application Centre officials to keep the centre closed."

Additionally, Hindu Jagran Manch & Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) jointly staged a protest in front of the Bangladesh Visa Application Centre in Siliguri, Bangladesh, over atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh, on 22nd December, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, heavy security has been deployed near the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi, in view of a protest announced by Vishva Hindu Parishad against the mob lynching of Dipu Chandra Das.

Members of the Sarbo Bharatiya Hindi Bangali Sangathan, VHP, and the Bajrang Dal also held a protest against the atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh and the brutal mob lynching of Dipu Chandra Das, near Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro Station.

Protest by hindu organisations are also being held in Madhya Pradesh's Bhoptal.

Fresh violence erupted in Bangladesh following the death of a youth leader, who was shot by an unidentified person and died a week later in Singapore during treatment.

Following the shooting, a Hindu man, Dipu Chandra Das, was mob lynched over alleged blasphemy, reportedly on 18 December, indicating the hatred towards minorities in Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s interim government had condemned the crime, saying there is no space for such crimes.

Yesterday, Hindu organizations and other minority groups staged a protest in Dhaka, calling Dipu "innocent", and claiming that he had issues with colleagues, which led to the mob lynching and not blasphemy.
