“Plight of Hindus in Bangladesh is a humanitarian crisis”: West Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari
Earlier, following the incident on December 18, the Bangladesh government had condemned the mob lynching.
West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Monday called the atrocities against minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh a “humanitarian crisis.”
In a post on X, Adhikari wrote, “The brutal lynching of our brave Hindu Brother, Dipu Chandra Das, by a fanatic mob in Mymensingh; Bangladesh, over baseless blasphemy allegations, is a stark reminder of the escalating genocide against Hindus in that country.”
He added that on Sunday, along with thousands of people in Kolkata, he marched to the Bangladesh High Commission, raising voices against this “barbarity and the relentless persecution of Hindus.”
“ A young life snuffed out, beaten, burned, and discarded like trash, while the world watches in silence. No justice, just pure hatred !!! To Dipu's family, we mourn with you and pray that Maa Kali gives you the strength to fight until justice prevails. I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with every protester, every Bengali heart that bleeds for our Hindu Brothers and Sisters across the border,” the post further read.
“We will not forgive this cowardice. Temples razed, families displaced, lives shattered under the shadow of radical Islamism. The plight of Hindus in Bangladesh is a humanitarian crisis screaming for global intervention,” it added.
Earlier, following the incident on December 18, the Bangladesh government had condemned the mob lynching.
Meanwhile, Hindu organisations and minority groups staged protests on Monday, calling Das innocent and demanding justice.
