LPG Cylinder Prices News: In a big relief for consumers ahead of the New Year 2024, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders were slashed by Rs 39.50 per cylinder by the oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Friday. It is pertinent to mention that the latest prices will come into effect on Friday (December 22).
However, the said change is only applicable to commercial cylinders, and not the prices of domestic LPG cylinders. With the revised rates of commercial LPG cylinders, the fresh prices will come as a relief to the common people.
In the meanwhile, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now cost Rs 1,757, while the same will be available at Rs 1,868 in Kolkata. Likewise, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Mumbai will now cost Rs 1,710, while it is Rs 1,929 in Chennai.
It may be recalled that the state-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), on November 17, slashed the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder.
Moreover, the domestic cylinder prices have not witnessed a price cut for a while now. The prices of the 19-kg LPG cylinder were altered on December 1, and on November 16 as well, when the cost of a commercial LPG cylinder was discounted by Rs 57.
The commercial LPG cylinder prices have been fluctuating nearly every month while the cylinder rates have undergone several revisions, with no change in domestic cylinders.
