Sonia Gandhi Wants His Son As PM, MK Stalin Wants His Son As CM: Home Minister Amit Shah Today

Home Minister Amit Shah Tirunelveli  Tamil Nadu latest News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Friday, addressing a meeting at the BJP’s booth committee members in Tirunelveli, said Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has one agenda that is to make her son Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister. Likewise, Stalin’s agenda is to make his son the Chief Minister of the state. He added that neither of them will be successful and that NDA’s success is certain for both positions.

Addressing the gathering, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "These INDI alliance leaders can neither do any good for Tamil Nadu nor for the country. Stalin ji has only one agenda: to make his son (Udhayanidhi Stalin) the Chief Minister. And Sonia Gandhi also has only one agenda: to make her son (Rahul Gandhi) the Prime Minister. But I want to tell both of them, neither Rahul Gandhi can become the Prime Minister nor Udhayanidhi can become the Chief Minister. Victory for the NDA is certain in both places; victory for Modi ji is certain."

Talking about one of the three key bills, the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, introduced in the lower house of the parliament during the 2025 Monsoon Session, Amit Shah said, the bill proposes for the removal of Chief Minsiters and Prime Minister and asked whether a government can be ran from jail.

He added M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has no right to say anything against the bill, citing Stalin himself ‘engages in bad deeds.’

"PM Modi tabled the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, and the entire opposition opposed it. The Bill proposes the removal of jailed Chief Ministers and Prime Ministers. DMK senior leaders K. Ponmudy and Senthil Balaji were in jail for eight months without resigning. Can a government be run from jail? DMK members are calling this a 'black bill,' but Stalin has no right to call it that because he himself is a Chief Minister who engages in black deeds,” Home Minister said.

K S Radhakrishnan, a political activist, formerly with DMK, joined the BJP in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah, during the occasion.

Further in his speech, he called Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the most ‘corrupt government in the country’ and accused the party of engaging in scams, including ‘sand mining’.

Shah said, "BJP, AIADMK, and NDA partners will form the government in Tamil Nadu. DMK is the most corrupt government in the country, embroiled in 'scams' including sand mining, nutrition kit, cash-for-jobs MNREGA, and more."

Shah, during the occasion, thanked PM Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda for choosing Tamil Nadu leader CP Radhakrishnan ji, as the candidate for the post of Vice President.

He said, “Tamil Nadu's son CP Radhakrishnan is going to become the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. Earlier, the NDA had also given this honour to APJ Abdul Kalam ji by making him the President of India. Narendra Modi ji has always worked to glorify Tamil Nadu, the Tamil language, and Tamil culture."
