Farmers Announce Nationwide Tractor March on Independence Day
Farmers addressed press conference to announce their next move.
Farmers Protest, Tractor March on Independence Day 15 August 2024: In a major development, the farmers have announced a nationwide tractor march on 15 August 2024, i.e. Independence Day 2024.
While addressing the press conference, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said "We are going to observe tractor march nationwide. We will burn the copies of new criminal law."
"We are going to complete 200 days of Shambhu and Khanauri border protests on 31 August 2024. We would request people to reach to these borders on this day. We will gather over lakhs of farmers on borders, that day," he said.
Furthermore, he said, "We will organise huge rallies in Uttar Pradesh on September 1, 2024. Likewise, two huge Mahapanchayats would be held in Haryana on September 15 and 22, respectively."
On Ashish Mishra, an accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, granted bail by the Supreme Court, Sarwan Singh Pandher said, "We condemn it and will continue to protest against it."
