Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Embark on Two-Day Visit to Kashmir on June 23

NEW-DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to undertake a significant two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on June 23-24, during which he will participate in various programs in Jammu and Srinagar. Reliable sources confirmed this development on Thursday, shedding light on the minister's itinerary. It has been revealed that Amit Shah will commence his visit to Jammu and Kashmir by paying homage to the statue of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ideologue and founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, by offering flowers at the statue in Jammu on Friday morning.

According to sources, Shah will subsequently lay the foundation stone for the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Samba. Additionally, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for numerous other development projects in the city. It has been disclosed that in the afternoon, the Home Minister will proceed to Srinagar, where he will participate in a program organized at the Raj Bhavan to inaugurate several development projects and lay foundation stones.

The sources further revealed that in the evening, the Home Minister will attend the 'Vitasta' function organized by the Union Ministry of Culture in the city. Prior to his return to the national capital on Saturday, Shah will lay the foundation stone for the 'Balidan Stambh' in Srinagar. This visit by Union Home Minister Amit Shah holds great significance as it underscores the government's commitment to the development and welfare of Jammu and Kashmir.
