112-Year-Old Turbaned Tornado Fauja Singh to lead the Marathon in Delhi

NEW-DELHI: The turbaned Tornado and 112-year-old Sikh Superman Fauja Singh is all set to lead the 5K Baisakhi Marathon in the National Capital on Sunday, April 23. This marathon will be held from 7 am to 9 pm. MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney said that this marathon is being organized by Vishwa Punjabi organization.

Vikramjit Sahney, International President of Vishwa Punjabi Sanstha and Member of Parliament, said that the purpose of the marathon organised on the occasion of Baisakhi is to highlight the contribution of Punjabis in India's freedom struggle during the elixir of India's independence. 95-year-old super grandmother Bhagwani Devi and Gurbachan Singh Randhawa, first Arjuna awardee Ajitpal Singh, hockey Olympian Bishan Singh Bedi will also participate in the Super Sikh Baisakhi Marathon being organized by WPO and Sun Foundation at Connaught Place on Sunday morning.

He said that the theme of this event is 'One Man One Race #SayNotToDrugs'. Apart from this, an award function, bhangra and martial arts will also be organized after the marathon.
