Fiji Prime Minister to Visit India This Week Lates News: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji is scheduled to visit India on August 24. This would be the first visit to India by Prime Minister Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka in his present capacity, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a press release.
The delegation includes the Minister of Health and Medical Services, Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu and senior officials.
During his visit to New Delhi Fiji Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 25 August 2025. Prime Minister Modi is also expected to host a lunch in honour of the visiting dignitary.
Prime Minister Rabuka is also scheduled to call on the President of India in New Delhi. President Droupati Murmu visited the Island nation last year in August.
Prime Minister Rabuka is expected to deliver a talk on ‘Ocean of Peace’ at the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), New Delhi. He will also be accompanied by his spouse, Sululieti Rabuka. The visit ends on 26th August.
“Prime Minister Rabuka’s visit underscores the longstanding and enduring ties between India and Fiji. It reaffirms the continued commitment of both countries to further strengthen the bilateral relationship across all sectors and deepen our close people-to-people ties,” the press release read.
