Stray Dog killing in Rangareddy news: Telangana Police have booked the Gram Panchayat governing body of Yacharam village in Rangareddy district for allegedly being involved in the killing of nearly 100 stray dogs, according to ANI.

A case has been registered against the village panchayat authorities based on a complaint filed by members of the Stray Animal Foundation.

Police have booked the village sarpanch, ward members, and the panchayat secretary. An investigation has been initiated into the matter, as per the complaint.

According to the FIR, a case has been registered against all concerned members of the Gram Panchayat. Further inquiry is underway to ascertain the facts behind the allegations

According to a report by The New Indian Express, around 50 canines were allegedly poisoned to death in Yacharam village on the outskirts of Hyderabad on January 19. Investigations is being conducted to ascertain the exact number and to trace carcasses of the animals.
