Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge again Alleges PM Modi Had Prior Intel on Pahalgam Terror Attack, latest news:
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday reiterated his claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had intelligence about a possible terror attack before the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, alleging that the PM cancelled his visit to Kashmir just days before the incident.
While addressing a Congress rally in Karnataka’s Vijayanagara, Kharge accused the BJP government of failing to prevent the attack and of not taking adequate measures to save the lives lost in the Pahalgam terror incident.
“Twenty-six people were killed in Pahalgam because the Modi government didn’t provide security to tourists there. Modi did not go to Kashmir because intelligence agencies advised him against it. Why didn’t you warn the tourists not to go there? If you had informed them, 26 lives could have been saved, and this small war…” Kharge stated.
Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks come in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 25 tourists and a local pony ride operator — all male. Following the attack, India took punitive diplomatic measures against Pakistan, citing its alleged links to the Pahalgam terror attack.
The Resistance Front — a shadow group of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba — claimed responsibility for the attack.
