Apple Store in Delhi's Saket

NEW-DELHI: The World's leading consumer technology company Apple opened its first store in the national capital Delhi from today. On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company Tim Cook welcomed the customers. The Apple Store in Delhi has opened at Select Citywalk Mall in Saket. The design of the store named 'Apple Saket' is inspired by the old gates of Delhi.

Although, it is smaller in size than the Mumbai store. Earlier on Tuesday, India's first Apple store was opened in a mall in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex business district. Sources said that the Apple Saket store is half the size of the Mumbai store. The company's retail team at the Saket store consists of more than 70 members who hail from 18 states of the country and can speak different languages.

Prior to this, Cook has also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Delhi. He also met Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Official sources said that Cook has sought support from the government to expand its base for component supply in India.
