Baba Siddique Murder: Zeeshan's Photo Found in Accused’s Phone, Linked to Bishnoi Gang
The arrested suspects have also confirmed that Zeeshan Siddique was initially a target of the assassination plot.
Baba Siddique Murder News: In a shocking development following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, police investigations have uncovered a photograph of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, on the phone of one of the suspects involved in the assassination. This discovery has intensified concerns, as Zeeshan may have been a secondary target in the deadly plot.
The photograph of Zeeshan was reportedly sent to the accused via Snapchat by their handler, Shubham Lonkar, who is believed to have connections with the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to sources from ANI. The gang members communicated through Snapchat, with messages being deleted on orders from Lonkar to erase traces of their plans.
Just a day after Baba Siddique's murder, Shubham's brother, Pravin Lonkar, posted on Facebook, claiming that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible for the assassination, further linking the gang to the crime. The arrested suspects have also confirmed that Zeeshan Siddique was initially a target of the assassination plot.
During police questioning, the accused revealed that Shubham Lonkar specifically selected Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivakumar Gautam for the hit because they were unfamiliar with Baba Siddique's prominent stature in Maharashtra and would execute the murder without hesitation.
The investigation also revealed that two arrested suspects, Ram Kanojia and Nitin Sapre, were initially contracted to kill Baba Siddique. Kanojia, who hails from Maharashtra, hesitated after understanding the potential consequences of killing such a well-known figure, demanding more money for the job. Ultimately, the suspects settled on a one-crore rupee contract for the assassination.
The Mumbai crime branch continues to delve deeper into the case, as revelations of potential secondary targets and the involvement of organized crime have raised the stakes in this high-profile murder investigation.
