Hyderabad–Tirupati SpiceJet Flight Returns to RGI Airport After Technical Issue
A SpiceJet flight (SG 2696) operating the Hyderabad–Tirupati route returned to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) shortly after take-off on June 19, 2025, due to a technical issue, according to a statement from SpiceJet.
The aircraft, a SpiceJet Q400, took a precautionary step after the pilots noticed intermittent illumination of the AFT baggage door warning light post take-off, the airline said.
It was confirmed that cabin pressurisation remained normal throughout the flight.
“As a precautionary measure, the pilots decided to return to Hyderabad,” SpiceJet stated.
The aircraft landed safely, and passengers were deplaned normally. Officials clarified that it was not an emergency landing.
