Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Speaks Up For Maha Kumbh Amid Water Pollution Issues latest news: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that to make unsubstantiated comments or circulate "fake videos" against Sanatan Dharma, India, Maa Ganga or Maha kumbh, he divert attention on such acts are in disrespect of the faith of millions of devotees who have taken a holy dip during ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

CM Yogi also spoke about recent findings of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) that detected high concentrations of faecal coliform bacteria in the Ganga and Yamuna waters at Prayagraj. Faecal coliform bacteria are markers of possible contamination, indicating the presence of harmful pathogens that can lead to diseases.

In spite of the CPCB report, Adityanath claimed that the water at the Sangam is safe for bathing and drinking. He blamed the opposition for spreading false information to defame the Maha Kumbh and Sanatan Dharma.

The CPCB report showed that the faecal coliform bacteria content in the Ganga and Yamuna was above the permissible limits for bathing, posing public health concerns. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has called state officials to respond to these concerns.

Adityanath's remarks follow criticism from opposition leaders who have questioned the handling of the Maha Kumbh, citing stampede and traffic jams incidents. In spite of these problems, Adityanath is determined to make the event a success and uphold the dignity of Sanatan Dharma.
