Another shocking incident of a man’s body being found in a drum on a rooftop has surfaced, this time in Alwar, Rajasthan, police said.
The man’s body was found in a drum on the rooftop of his rented accommodation in Adarsh Colony, Kishangarh Bas, Rajasthan. His wife, three children & the landlord's son are missing, the police said, speaking to Media.
Mithlesh, the owner of the house and mother of the man who is now missing, speaking to media, said, “There was a couple and their three children who lived as tenants in my house. The woman (deceased man's wife) used to complain about her husband and his drinking habit.”
Mithlesh, the owner, was the first to discover the drum. She said she happened to go to the roof, whereupon sensing foul smell emanating from the drum, she immediately informed the police.
She said, “Recently, I went to the terrace and found a smell emanating from there. I immediately called the Police; they found a body. My son has also been missing since then.”
“I think my son has also gone with them (wife of the deceased man and her three children)."
The body will be sent for post-mortem today. Further details will be shared following the investigation, police added.
This is the third such incident that has occurred this year. The incident has sparked memories of murder in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, where Saurabh Rajput was murdered on March 4, by his wife, Muskaan, and her lover, Sahil.
The second such incident was reported from Ludhiana in Punjab, where a decomposed body of a man was found wrapped in a sack inside a blue drum.
