Advisory for Indian Community in Israel

Meanwhile, the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv issued an advisory on June 15 for members of the Indian community in Israel. It stated that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure their safety and well-being as the national emergency declared by the Government of Israel remains in effect.

The Israel–Iran war has entered its fifth day, featuring heavy aerial assaults, drone-enabled sabotage, missile barrages, and a rising civilian death toll. While diplomatic pressure for a ceasefire is mounting, neither side has shown signs of de-escalation. The risk of a broader regional conflict remains high, prompting global actors to urge restraint.

Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on June 13, deploying over 200 aircraft and Mossad-led drone strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, military installations, and senior commanders including Hossein Salami. Many Iranian missile launchers have reportedly been destroyed.

In retaliation, Iran has launched massive missile salvos, striking Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other key regions.

State of Emergency in Israel

A state of emergency was declared in Israel around 3:00 AM on June 13 following Iranian missile attacks and air defense alerts. Lawmakers in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee unanimously approved the nationwide emergency declared by Defense Minister Israel Katz, which was later extended until the end of the month by the Israeli Cabinet, according to The Times of Israel.
