Fact Check News: RSFC (Team Mohali)- A Picture is going viral on social media. In this picture, a girl can be seen filling oil in a bottle from lamps. Users are making this picture viral by calling it recent.

Facebook user "Gurmeet Arif" shared the viral picture and wrote, "This is a picture of the country that is in the race to become the world guru. Most of the people here will burn the stoves of their houses with oil stolen from Diwali lamps today. Naked Feet, Hungry bellies, and the joyless faces of these children say that they wish there was Diwali every day. Happy Diwali to all of you too."

Starting the investigation we first did a reverse image search on this image. Viral picture is from 2019

We found the viral picture shared in the year 2019. X user "Rahul Pandita" shared on 29st October 2019 and wrote, "20,000 litre oil used to light up 500,000 earthen lamps in Ayodhya. Total cost: 133 crores. Here a poor girl trying to collect a little oil from these diyas to take home. Look at the fear in her eyes. Is this our idea of Ram Rajya?"

Similarly, we got the video of this girl uploaded on social media platform as well. X user "Mini Muvel" shared this video on October 30, 2019. Video can been seen by clicking below.

Hence, it is clear that the viral picture is not recent but from the year 2019.
