AIZAWL: In a show of connect with the people, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi initiated a 'Padyatra' in Aizawl during his two-day visit to Mizoram, garnering a warm reception from the enthusiastic crowd that had gathered to welcome him. The Padyatra, a symbolic walk, commenced from Chanmari junction, traversing the intricate, bustling streets of the city while adorned with fluttering party flags and cheered on by a sea of Congress supporters.

Expressing his gratitude to the public lining the streets, Rahul Gandhi engaged with the locals, shaking hands, and exchanging words with those who had come to meet him. Amidst the friendly interactions, many captured moments with the Congress leader in selfies. Local residents showcased traditional dances, enriching the experience of Rahul Gandhi's walk through the city. The leader is slated to complete a march spanning four to five kilometers, culminating at the Raj Bhavan, where he is scheduled to address a rally near the Governor's residence.
