MUMBAI: A Mild Earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale reverberated through Maharashtra's Kolhapur district in the early hours of Wednesday. The seismic event occurred at approximately 6:45 am, according to the National Center for Seismology. The epicenter of the tremors was determined to be at a depth of five kilometers below the earth's surface. Fortunately, no reports of casualties or damage to property have emerged in connection with the earthquake. Kolhapur, situated in Western Maharashtra, is located about 375 kilometers from Mumbai.

The Tremor, though of relatively low magnitude, prompted a brief sense of unease among the residents of the region. Authorities swiftly moved to ensure public safety and assess any potential impact.
