CBSE Cautions Evaluators Over Social Media Posts on Class 10, 12 Board Exam Assessment
Disciplinary action may be taken against evaluators who share details about the board examination assessment process on social media, the Central Board of Secondary Education has cautioned.
The board said any attempt to circulate rumours or present misleading information related to the evaluation of answer sheets would be treated as a violation of professional conduct. Authorities stressed that individuals involved in the assessment work are expected to follow strict confidentiality norms while performing their duties.
The warning comes after the board noticed that some evaluators have been posting comments, opinions and personal experiences related to the ongoing assessment work on various social media platforms. Officials said several such posts contain inaccurate or misleading information that could create confusion among students, teachers and other stakeholders.
CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said the evaluation of answer sheets is conducted under a structured and confidential system governed by established protocols. Public discussion of the process, he said, is not permitted.
According to the board, teachers associated with the evaluation process must exercise restraint while using social media and ensure that no details related to the assessment work are shared online.
The advisory applies to evaluators involved in checking answer sheets for the ongoing Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations conducted by CBSE across the country. Officials said maintaining confidentiality is essential to protect the integrity and credibility of the examination system.
