New Delhi: With the coronavirus cases increasing day by day in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may meet the state chief ministers again next week.

The meeting is taking place at a time when cases of coronavirus infection are on the rise in the country. Due to Covid-19, various exemptions have been given to the general public and traders during Unlock-1 to speed up the economic activities affected by the lockdown.

The last time PM Modi met the Chief Ministers was on May 11. Home Minister Amit Shah had a telephone conversation with the chief ministers in the last week of May.

Meanwhile, a lockdown has been announced on weekends and public holidays in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in Punjab.
