Chandigarh School Holidays News: Winter vacation in schools extended till Jan 20
Chandigarh administration has allowed Schools to regulate the timings for their staff accordingly.
Chandigarh School Winter Vacation Holidays Extension News: In a major development, the Chandigarh administration on Saturday announced the extension of winter holidays in schools amid cold wave conditions.
Given the prevailing inclement weather conditions and to avoid the exposure of children to this extremely cold weather, the Chandigarh administration has decided that there would be no classes in physical mode up to Class VIII, in any Government, Government-Aided and Recognised Private Schools of UT Chandigarh, till the 20th of January 2024.
Likewise, the schools have been asked to organise online classes for their students of these classes. For Class IX to XII in all Government, Government-Aided, and Recognised Private Schools of UT Chandigarh, till the 20th of January 2024, the schools have been allowed to remain open for students not earlier than 9.30 am and close no later than 4 pm.
Similarly, the schools, while regulating the timing for these classes, must take into account the cold spell especially early morning and late evening, and the time taken by the children for their commute, to and from, school.
Besides, the Chandigarh administration has allowed Schools to regulate the timings for their staff accordingly and inform all the concerned people.
