AHMEDABAD: A woman constable in Gujarat is being hailed on social media for her considerate gesture of taking care of an infant while the child's mother wrote the Gujarat High Court's Peon Recruitment examination at the Odhav center on Sunday. Official pictures shared on the Ahmedabad Police's Twitter account depict Constable Daya Ben, tenderly holding and engaging with the 6-month-old baby.

According to the accompanying caption, a female examinee, accompanied by her six-month-old son, arrived at the Odhav examination center to partake in the selection process for the post of peon at the esteemed Gujarat High Court. However, with the exam just moments away from commencing, the infant began to cry incessantly. Graciously, Constable Daya Ben stepped forward, offering to care for the child, thereby enabling the mother to focus on her examination undisturbed.

Ahmedabad Police conveyed the following message, "The child of the female examinee who came to take the exam at Odhav was crying, but thanks to the assistance provided, the mother was able to take the exam smoothly without any disruptions."
