TAMIL NADU: YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who is in jail in Tamil Nadu, has received another major blow. He will have to spend around 11 months in a Tamil Nadu jail, as Tamil Nadu Governor Ravindra Narayan Ravi has given his nod to the National Security Act (NSA) imposed on Manish Kashyap by the Tamil Nadu government. The Governor has also approved the decision of the state government.

In this regard, the notification has been issued on the basis of the orders given by the Governor on May 6. According to the notification, this decision to impose NSA will remain in force for a full 12 months. Due to this, Manish Kashyap will have to stay in the jail of Tamil Nadu for the next 11 months.

Manish Kashyap was accused of making a fake video of the beating of Biharis in Tamil Nadu viral. Tamil Nadu Police had registered a total of 13 FIRs in this connection. On March 30, the Tamil Nadu police took him on transit remand from Bihar.

After an investigation into the entire incident, the Madurai DM recommended imposing NSA on Manish Kashyap. After this, the matter was referred to the advisory board of the government. The Board said that they had sufficient reasons to implement the Act. Only after this the Tamil Nadu government gave its approval. Then on April 5, the government order came into effect under Section-3 (4) of the National Security Act (NSA) 1980.

The biggest blow to Manish Kashyap has come from the Supreme Court. An appeal was filed seeking consolidation of all FIRs registered in Bihar and Tamil Nadu, bail and removal of NSA imposed on them. On which the Supreme Court, while hearing on May 8, rejected the application given by Manish Kashyap's lawyer.
