President Droupadi Murmu to Begin Her Two-Day Visit to Punjab and Chandigarh Today
President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Haryana, Punjab, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh
President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Haryana, Punjab, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, starting from March 10. During this visit, she is attending convocation ceremonies at various universities and a civic reception in Mohali hosted in her honor.
Today, during her Punjab visit, she will be gracing the convocation ceremonies of the Central University of Punjab (CUP) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bathinda.
Reports indicate that Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will accompany the President at both events, along with other dignitaries. Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place at all venues.
At AIIMS Bathinda, the President will confer 72 degrees and medals in MBBS, Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS).
In the evening, the President is scheduled to attend a civic reception in Mohali, hosted by the Punjab Government in her honor. The event will be attended by the Governors and Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana, along with other dignitaries.
On March 10, the President attended the convocation ceremony of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar, Haryana.
On March 12, she is scheduled to grace the 72nd convocation ceremony of Panjab University (PU) in Chandigarh.
