Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep shock over the shooting incident in Canada's Tumbler Ridge, B.C.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Deeply shocked by the horrendous shooting in Canada.”
PM Modi extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
“India stands in solidarity with the people of Canada in this moment of profound grief,” the post added.
Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, earlier today said was devastated by today’s horrific shootings in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. My prayers and extended deepest condolences to the families and friends who have lost loved ones to these horrific acts of violence.
"I join Canadians in grieving with those whose lives have been changed irreversibly today, and in gratitude for the courage and selflessness of the first responders who risked their lives to protect their fellow citizens. Our ability to come together in crisis is the best of our country — our empathy, our unity, and our compassion for each other.
