NEW-DELHI: In a moment of pride for the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet the Indian delegation returning from their exceptional performance at the Hangzhou Asian Games. The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 pm on Tuesday (October 09) at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and aims to honor the athletes for their outstanding accomplishments on the international stage. The announcement was made through an official statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

India's remarkable display at the Hangzhou Asian Games saw them clinch a record-breaking 107 medals, including an impressive haul of 28 gold medals, securing a historic fourth-place finish overall. This achievement marks India's finest performance in the history of the Asian Games and reflects the nation's growing prominence in the international sporting arena. During the meeting, PM Modi will extend his heartfelt congratulations to the athletes and convey his best wishes for their future endeavors.

The PMO confirmed the participation of the entire Indian contingent, comprising athletes, coaches, officials of the Indian Olympic Association, representatives of national sports federations, and officials from the Ministry of Sports.
