Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has taken a major decision to cancel Class X examinations in Telangana. In view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state, the Chief Minister has announced to promote all the Class X students.
In such a scenario, the state government believes that it may take some time to stop Covid-19 from spreading after which the Chief Minister KCR has announced to pass all the students on the basis of interim examination.
According to a press statement issued by the state government, the Chief Minister has decided to promote all the students of class X to the next class by giving them grades on the basis of their internal assessment marks.
In the near future, the government will decide on conducting graduate and post graduate examinations based on the situation. The number of cases of coronavirus in Telangana is close to 4,000.
According to the health ministry, a total of 3,496 cases of corona have been reported in the state so far. The death toll has risen to 123. It is a matter of relief that a total of 1,710 patients have been treated from Corona so far.
